I’m standing in front of the sea, watching the landscape unfold before my eyes.
Nothing is really happening, and yet everything feels right.
In that precise moment, I know there is an image here. Not because I’m looking for it, but because it’s been offered to me.

It feels like a gift.

Something temporary. Something that only asks to be seen, framed, and remembered.

Most of the time, I live these moments alone. Fully present. Deep inside myself. And it’s beautiful.
But at some point, the desire to share appears.

This is where these notebooks begin.

Whether I’m somewhere far away, standing in a coffee field in a distant country, or in my studio in Zurich photographing a person in front of my camera, every project feels different. Each encounter carries its own rhythm. Its own tension. Its own quiet energy.

Photography gives me an intense sense of presence. My senses are wide open. I’m attentive, sometimes overwhelmed, often grateful.

I mainly photograph people.
But it’s often silence that draws me in.

This is not an explanation of my work.
It’s an extension of it.
